Meg began her professional artistic career while working as an interior designer in New York City, and attending Parson’s School of Design and The Fashion Institute of Technology. Meg worked with several prominent designers in New York in the 70 and 80’s and studied ceramics for seven years with Susan Tunick at several studios including, Greenwich House Pottery, Baldwin Pottery and the 92nd Street Y in New York City. While attending Greenwich House Pottery, Meg received the Madeline Sadin scholarship for outstanding young student of year. Meg sold her pottery through Bruce Bierman Design, NYC, Stamen’s & Pistils (Flowers of Fantastic Form), NYC, Marshall & Co., NYC, and The North Salem Gallery LTD, North Salem, NY.

In 1991 Meg moved to Gig Harbor, Washington to raise a family. In 1998 she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer. While on chemotherapy Meg developed an interest in collage. She fell in love with ceramics and Interior Design in the 70’s and 80’s and collage in the 90’s. Antoni Tapies 1923 -2012, a Spanish painter, sculptor and art theorist is a major influence.

In 1999, Meg created, Island Pottery, an art studio available to students’ ages eleven years old and up. In this studio, she provided an environment of independent creativity through the expression of clay and collages. Meg found teaching very rewarding. Her work was exhibited throughout the Northwest including The Tacoma Museum of Art.

In 2003 Meg returned to the tri-state area. Now with an artist’s eye, Meg has opted to return to the Interior Design field taking her clients by the hand; utilizing their existing possessions and developing their own artistic statements, enabling her clients to develop their palace.
