Updating your home doesn’t have to be expnesive

If you are planning on selling your home staging is key.  You can stage your home on a budget. The first thing is curb appeal. Spend some time trimming hedges and planting fresh flower beds with bark. Inside remove all the clutter and personal photos and knickknacks and other junk. Slim down on the furniture.  Put larger pieces of furniture in storage.  Be prepared to constantly keep it clean.  Removing clutter and extra furniture is important, it will definitely make the home feel fresh and clean. Paint the front door, get a new mailbox, add new house numbers and a new doormat. Paint the entire house inside and out or pressure wash the vinyl or aluminum. Clean the light fixtures and air vents and update kitchen cabinets with paint and new knobs. Little things like matching towels in the bathroom , accent pillows on the couch and fresh flowers can be welcoming to homebuyers. Your home will look like you had a professional interior designer decorate and you you will enjoy the new home you created while in the process of selling.
